My name is Honey Osborne and am located in beautiful Valla Beach.
I am a Craniosacral Therapist and through my own healing journey l discovered
this incredibly gentle but effective healing modality. Through working with my
practitioner l was able to heal very old wounds that were continuing to affect
me and because I love Craniosacral Therapy so much, l trained to become a
practitioner myself.
Over the years l have developed my area of specialty – helping clients release
emotional wounds and opening themselves up to really make some big shifts
in their life.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
CST originated from Oseopathic medicine and is a gentle, non invasive form of therapy. The practitioner, using very light contact with their hands connects with the client’s energy and assists the body to release blockages that produce either physical or emotional symptoms. Rather than pushing or manipulating into a set or “correct” position, we use techniques to assist the body release its own restrictions. Through this connection the practitioner is able to assist the body to back to a state of balance and harmony.
How does Craniosacral Therapy work?
In the example of a car accident, the broken bones and lacerations caused by the accident will heal within a matter of months, but the physical after-effects can go on for years. This is because the crash leaves a deep but subtle imprint in the body. Over time these imprinted patterns of restriction array can inhibit the body’s natural function causing an array of symptoms which progressively worsen.
The body tries to release these patterns of restriction from the moment they are imprinted. Under the right circumstances it can spontaneously free itself of these restrictive patterns. However, if the imprint is too intense it overwhelms the body’s ability to effect a release. Craniosacral therapists work with this naturally occurring release mechanism, inducing the ‘right’ circumstances under which a natural release occurs.
With emotional trauma, the process of imprinting a restriction pattern happens in the same way. An intense emotional trauma can be imprinted in the body leaving restrictions which can cause significant physical problems.
What to expect in a session?
Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle, non invasive form of treatment. While you are lying fully clothed on the table l will make initial physical contact at your feet. After connecting to your Craniosacral system l will move to different areas of the body that require attention. Contact is very light and there is no physical manipulation. You will most likely feel a very deep relaxation while on the table.
Depending on whether your condition is mild and recent or a more long-term issue, you may need just a few of Craniosacral sessions, or a longer series of sessions to address the source of the problem. The speed of recovery can also be influenced by your overall health status. Craniosacral therapy is a great way to build up your health and energy levels, to enable you to make more profound progress towards recovery.
Because Craniosacral therapy works at a very deep and subtle level it can appear that nothing is changing. It can be of great help to keep a journal to track progress and recognise the changes that are taking place.
Craniosacral therapy is suitable for people of all ages.
My Story
My first real experience of Craniosacral Therapy was after a particularly nasty relationship break up in 2010. I was in a really bad way and was determined to break the cycle of bad relationships- bad choices. I found my Craniosacral therapist and began the journey of healing.
My wounds were emotional rather than physical but nevertheless were deep, and in most cases old. The thing l love most about Craniosacral is how gentle and yet powerful it is. I was able to really heal some very old wounds and open myself up to much healthier relationships in all areas of my life. I found Craniosacral therapy was most effective when l was ready to let go of my baggage. It supported me through this process and helped me find an inner strength and sense of what l really wanted to create in my life.
I am now really proud to be a Craniosacral practitioner and love assisting my clients to fulfill their own potential. My area of speciality is dealing with the emotions. These pesky emotions that get in the way of our moving forward in life and finding joy in every day. Sometimes these stuck emotions can manifest in the physical and cause undiagnosable pain and sometimes they just limit us from our potential. Craniosacral Therapy works with our nervous system to bring us back to state of balance and harmony. Sometimes this can happen quickly in a few sessions and sometimes the journey back to wellness and wholeness can take longer.
I am also a Reiki Master, Yoga teacher and energy transformer. I work with Archangel Metatron, Master Serapis Bey and others from the higher realms to transform energy into light, assisting your body to draw on it’s own innate wisdom to heal itself.
My role is to support you through this process, so if all of this resonates l’d love to hear from you.
